A Jewel in Tasmania’s Heritage

Glen Clyde House is a heritage listed building originally constructed in 1840. The house was initially a private residence and then coaching inn. Much of the building retains its charm in the original features can still be seen today in both the gallery and café.
At Glen Clyde House we pride ourselves in the Tasmanian craft work we show and offer. The artisans we display are some of Australia’s finest woodworkers, leather workers, metalworkers, glass workers, jewelers and painters. Each piece is handpicked, and with work from more than 30 Tasmanian artisans including the owners in residence. The pieces make the perfect memento of Tasmania or gift.
